Monday of the Third Sunday of Lent

Monday of the Third Week of Lent (March 24)

  • Readings:

    • First Reading: 2 Kings 5:1–15ab

    • Psalm: 42:2–3; 43:3–4 (or Ps 42–43)

    • Gospel: Luke 4:24–30

Reflection
Naaman, a foreign army commander, humbles himself at the prophet Elisha’s direction and is healed of his leprosy. Jesus references this event to show that God’s mercy extends to all who approach Him with sincere faith. During Lent, we are reminded that pride can block our healing. Open yourself to God’s grace, even when He calls you to do something unexpected or seemingly small. Faithful obedience brings new life.
